President’s Message
April 2024
What an honor it was at our March meeting to have so many Life Members and Past Presidents in attendance. We had a very lively start to the meeting as members were getting caught up with those that they had not seen for a while. Having this type of fellowship among our local industry leaders is such a rewarding part of our Chapter meeting. Many of our members know each other through work interactions. Being able to break bread together and recognize those who may not be as active in the industry anymore provides us opportunities for a more personal interaction. For our April meeting, we will be transitioning from honoring our past presidents and Life members. Those members who have, and still are shaping our chapter and industry. To promoting the future of the industry as we award this year’s NEOK ASHRAE scholarship recipients. It is the contributions from our members and past members that allow us to offer these opportunities. So please, plan to attend as we recognize and encourage our 2024 scholarship recipients. They will become the future leaders and maybe future leaders of our local industry and ASHRAE. We are quickly coming to an end to our 2023-2024 season with only a few chapter meetings and events left. There are a few upcoming events I want to remind you of. For all our Golfers, April 18th is our Par 3 golf tournament, so get registered and get the clubs out. Our Chapter regional Conference (CRC) for our chapter, region 8, Is April 25th -28th in Dallas, TX. If you plan to attend now is the time to get registered. We only have a couple more Chapter meetings left, April 3rd and May 1st. Mark your calendars! Hope to see you at our April meeting.
